Situated in the city’s Old Gaol, the Western Australian Museum has exhibits covering Western Australia’s history, from Aborigine artefacts to space rocks and butterfly galleries.

Another great family day out, this theme park has a huge selection of thrilling rides including several roller coasters, a water playground and swimming pool.
4. Freemantle Prison
A UNESCO World Heritage site, this prison was built in the 1850s by convicts before closing in 1991. Venture through the tunnels, try to spot some ghosts and see what life was like for Australian convicts.
5. Perth Mint
See where coins are made at the Perth Mint on a tour of this fascinating attraction. Here you can see such sights as Australia’s largest natural gold nugget collection, and the largest gold coin in the world.
6. Hillarys Boat Harbour
A great place to visit for a bite to eat, or to take a boat tour, the harbour should be on your list of things to do in Perth. You can also take a tour on a Harley Davidson bike from here.
7. Kings Park
Perched on the edge of the central business district of Perth, Kings Park is one of the largest inner city parks in the world and has a huge array of attractions including botanical gardens, memorials and walks through it.
